The plain-English version first: we collect what you give us to schedule and perform work, we use standard analytics to improve the site, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it any time.
What we collect
- Information you give us: name, phone, email, address, and project details submitted through forms, calls, or texts — used to schedule inspections, prepare bids, and perform work.
- Automatic information: standard analytics data (pages visited, device type, referral source, and campaign parameters such as UTM tags) collected via cookies and similar technologies.
- Call and text records: calls to our tracked numbers may be recorded for quality and training; texts you send us (including photos) are retained with your customer record.
- Documents you upload: if you choose to send us competitor bids (PDF) through the bid-comparison tool for a free review, we receive those files and the contact details you enter. The tool's in-browser comparison is never transmitted — only an upload you explicitly submit and consent to.
How we use it
- To respond to your requests, schedule work, prepare estimates, and service warranties.
- To measure which marketing actually works (aggregate analytics and ad-platform conversion reporting).
- To send service communications — appointment confirmations, project updates, warranty registration. Marketing messages only with consent, and every one has an opt-out.
Bids you upload for review
The bid-comparison tool has a private mode that runs entirely in your browser and sends us nothing. Separately, you may choose to upload competitor bids for a free professional review. When you do:
- We store the files securely and use them to review your bids with you and prepare our own estimate.
- We may use anonymized details — scope and pricing patterns with your name, address, and contact information removed — to sharpen our homeowner guidance and understand our market. We never publish or share a bid tied to your identity.
- We never sell uploaded bids, and we never share the personal information in them with third parties for their own marketing.
- You can ask us to delete an uploaded bid at any time — email office@peaksroofs.com.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (CRM, scheduling, payment, and analytics vendors bound to confidentiality), with insurers/adjusters at your direction during a claim, or when the law requires.
Mobile & SMS data: we never share your mobile phone number or your SMS/text-messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Message data is shared only with the messaging providers that deliver our texts. See our SMS Terms & Conditions.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold about you, correct it, or request deletion: email office@peaksroofs.com or call 360-404-7835.
- Opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP, or of emails via the unsubscribe link.
- Block analytics cookies through your browser settings; the site works fine without them.
Retention & security
Customer records are retained for the life of your warranty plus applicable legal periods, then deleted. Data is stored with reputable providers using encryption in transit and at rest. No system is perfect; if a breach affects you, we'll notify you as state law requires.
