First: a storm-rated tarp fastened to sound framing — not draped and weighted, which lasts one gust — to make your home watertight and safe. Then photos and notes of every point of damage, in the format adjusters actually want. When the weather clears, we come back for the permanent repair. A tarp buys you time and a dry house; it is not the fix, and we'll never pretend it is.

Emergency tarping and stabilization is priced for the size of the opening, roof access, and how much has to be secured to make you safe — it's a separate line from the permanent repair that follows. Storm and tree damage is often a covered insurance claim; wear and age generally aren't. How fast can you get here for an active leak?
Active, water-in-the-house leaks get emergency response — usually same day or next, weather and safety permitting. During a major windstorm the whole region calls at once, so we triage by severity: water actively entering a home moves to the front of the line.
Isn't a tarp just a bandage?
Yes — and a bandage is exactly right when you're bleeding. A properly fastened storm-rated tarp keeps your home dry and safe until conditions allow a real repair. The mistake is treating it as permanent; we install it as the first half of a two-part job and come back for the second.
Will insurance cover emergency roof repair?
For sudden events — wind, a fallen tree, storm damage — very possibly, and most policies expect you to mitigate further damage, which is exactly what tarping is. Age and wear alone, no. We photograph and document everything so you have what an adjuster needs, and we tell you which category you're in before you file.
Can you tarp it safely in the middle of a storm?
Sometimes, sometimes not — high wind and lightning make roof work dangerous for our crew and ineffective anyway. When we can't safely get up top mid-storm, we help you limit interior damage from below and get on the roof the moment it's safe. We won't put someone on a roof in conditions that would just create a second emergency.
