The stairs bounce or feel steep
Uneven or oversized steps are the ones people miss in the dark, and a bouncing stringer means the framing is undersized or already softening. Step geometry is set by code that varies by jurisdiction — we build to what yours requires and verify it.
The handrail wobbles or there isn't one
A rail you can't trust is worse than no rail, and a missing one is the first thing an inspector or a buyer's agent flags. Graspable, solidly-anchored handrails are a safety item we set in person, not a detail we eyeball.
